Notice of Annual Meeting of the Brookfield Civic Association
Annual Meeting January 28, 2010, 7:30 pm
The Annual Meeting of the Brookfield Civic Association , a corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, will be held on January 28, 2010, at 7:30 P.M. at Brookfield Elementary School for the purpose of electing a Board of Directors for the ensuing year.
Active Members in good standing are eligible to nominate candidates and vote in the election for directors. Active Members in good standing are Brookfield residents who have paid their annual dues to the association. You may join or renew your annual dues of $25 at the meeting and be eligible to nominate a candidate and vote in the election of directors.
Each candidate for the Board of Directors should attend the January 28th meeting, be an Active Member in good standing, be willing to be nominated, and be willing to attend meetings and abide by the Association's Bylaws. If a candidate cannot attend the meeting, he/she must sign the bottom portion of this notice, and send it to the mailing address listed below by 12 midnight January 22, 2010.
The Association is allowed a maximum number of 12 directors. The following current directors have agreed to be candidates for the coming election: Larry Leeds, Margie Wheedleton, Shelley Leeds, John Moore, Jim Rollins, Sami Besalel, Steve Russick and Terrie Koustenis.
Other candidates may be nominated by Active Members in good standing. Those nominations must be with written permission of the nominee and his/her agreement to abide by the Bylaws of the Brookfield Civic Association. All nominations must be received by the Association by 12 midnight, January 22, 2010, at our mailing address of Brookfield Civic Association, P.O. Box 222582, Chantilly, Virginia 20153-2532.
