Since the gas explosion that destroyed the Nguyen home on Lees Corner Road on December 19th, 2010, Brookfield residents are understandably interested in hearing the most recent news from Washington Gas.
As pledged, the Brookfield Civic Association (BCA) provides this page to members and residents so we can pass on to you communications we receive from Washington Gas about the incident and other steps they are taking to ensure safety and improve service.
Washington Gas currently has a brief update on their website with the general status of their Brookfield Replacement Project.

Natural Gas Explosion Meeting Report - Feb 17 , 2011
At our BCA General Meeting held on February 17 , 2011 at 7:30 pm, we had speakers from the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire Department and Washington Gas to discuss the gas explosion that destroyed the Nguyen home on Lees Corner Road on December 19th. The meeting was Informative, but left some attendees wanting more. BCA will coordinate to communicate information from these parties to our residents and neighbors. Read More.
